I do not understand why all these companies capitulated. They could have defended themselves. They've got money. There's such a thing as "discovery" and it would have been glorious.

A good speech, other than the firearm part. Violence can be mostly mitigated by making folks secure - in Healthcare, finances, life in general. Taking away guns without fixing the actual underlying problems won't solve a thing.

Not only on the agenda, but do what needs to be done to ram it through. I'm sure (Similar to other acts) a decent universal Healthcare bill is sitting in a drawer, waiting. Help the citizens of this country first once and save them from financial ruin due to say a gallbladder removal surgery.

If it ends up being built, tear it down and put back what was there. If it remains a crater, same. Place a plague in the post 2028 condemning what Trump did. Not as a memorial, but as a warning.

3/Fix the cause of violence, and it doesnt matter what tool is used. Politicians don't want to do this because it removes their ability to create convenient wedge issues. (End)

2/Banning or eliminating guns won't stop someone bent on violence. They will just resort to cars, bombs, knives, stolen guns, home built guns, etc. There is a low estimate of 1.5 firearms per person in the USA. Way too difficult and costly to put that cat back in the bag.

1/There's lots of ways to prevent this that don't infringe. Universal Healthcare (includes mental health). Economic security. Quality education (includes holding parents accountable) and other programs to a actually help citizens. Do this, and all violence (gun or otherwise) goes down.
