The Ophelias announce new Julien Baker-produced album, out April 4.

The album is out on April 4th, and it&apos;s produced by boygenius member Julien Baker. This is the first time that Baker has produced an album for another artist. </p><div class="kg-card kg-button-card kg-align-center"><a class="kg-btn kg-btn-accent" href="https://www.stubhub.com/the-ophelias-tickets/performer/100316527?ref=theneedledrop.com">See The Ophelias Live</a></div><p>The Ophelias are Spencer Peppet&#xa0;(she/her),&#xa0;Mic Adams&#xa0;(drums, he/him),&#xa0;Andrea Gutmann Fuentes&#xa0;(violin, she/her), and&#xa0;Jo Shaffer&#xa0;(bass, they/she). The band first formed in 2015 in Cincinnati. This is The Ophelias&apos; first release via Get Better Records, and it follows last year&apos;s <em>Ribbon </em>EP. </p><p>Lead single &quot;Cumulonimbus&quot; is out today, along with a music video for the track. Watch the music video below: </p><figure class="kg-card kg-embed-card"></figure><p>The collaboration between The Ophelias and Baker on <em>Spring Grove </em>began in 2021. According to press materials, Baker called the band, asking to produce the follow-up to their third album, 2021&apos;s <em>Crocus. </em>Baker and The Ophelias tracked the album together at Young Avenue Sound in Memphis, TN. The Grammy-winning songwriter also sings harmonies and plays on tracks throughout the record. </p><p>This spring, The Ophelias will tour in support of their new record.
