I'm a 65 year old US citizen and I've never had a passport. A lot of Americans don't "travel abroad", preferring to spend our time in our own country.

I don't understand why people in positions of power protesting by giving up those positions is a good thing. Don't they just get replaced by boot-lickers who are happy to serve the regime?
