Today's reposted Art Tip is:
*GENERALLY,* the proportions of the length of the skull and and the depth of the skull are the same length!

This is an easy thing to spot once you know to look for it! A lot of artists draw very LONG faces and very SHALLOW skulls before they know to keep this in mind!
A simple drawing, or diagram, of the head in profile. The front of the head (face) and the depth of the skull (top of the head) are marked and highlighted to show they are the same length. More simple diagrams: 1. A stock photo of a skull in profile. The height and depth are both illustrated to be the same length. 2. A stock photo of a child and an adult in profile. The same two equidistant lines are imposed over the photos, to illustrate that the depth and length of the skull are generally equidistant at any age.
