The volume of available info should benefit progressive ideas. We've got more people reporting on corruption and criticizing government policy than we ever have, and some of them are entertaining. Mainstream media has not been a bulwark against trump, or 40 years of failed neoliberal policies.

He hates Brazil, so US can't import Brazilian beef, which it was doing pre-trump 2. He wants to prop up Argentina's failed president/economy so he's buying their beef and loaning them billions. Tariffs/supporting neoliberalism at any cost is a significant factor behind ICE fucking up domestic supply

NDP voters/leftists are saying they want NO votes and an election. I haven't seen their MPs take similar positions. We know what people don't like about the bill and why they want NO votes. We know why that's probably not going to happen. We're debating being pragmatic vs ideological to kill time

The case from NDP supporters is we gave votes to Liberal MPs to end up with a budget that's more conservative than we would like. Those people want a do-over to vote NDP. It's not pragmatic/likely to succeed, but I'm nonplussed on what's hard to understand.

I'd guess they abstain as it's not pragmatic to force the issue unless they've got polling leaving them very confident they can steal enough seats to make it worthwhile. The impression I get on Blue Sky is that there aren't enough Canadians strongly opposed to this budget to make it a winning issue.

If the NDP stole a couple seats, then Carney would be forced to negotiate with him for his next budget/to keep the Liberals in power like Trudeau did with Singh. They should probably wait, but nothing to lose without party status and no negotiation with the PM re: policy +NDP supporters are angry

What leverage does Carney have? He does not have a majority. If he doesn't have the votes to pass his budget, it's because he failed to negotiate with other parties. Vote against the budget in hopes his party loses seats and he negotiates in good faith going forward. NDP has no power, they cant lose

Forcing an election eithet gives Carney the majority he needs to govern like this, or he's got a weaker minorty and he realizes he needs to negotiate to stay in power. Cons aren't wining a majority. NDP no votes are attempting to get enough seats to force Carney to acknowledge our interests exist.

The obvious inference is that someone who isn't white by white supremacist definitons is playing on borrowed time pushing white supremacy. I've seen similar comments re: Ben Shapiro. The end goal of white christian nationalism isn't to make exceptions for the "good ones" who helped along the way.

They've got implants that monitor your heart activity that last for 2-3 years and can be checked post incident for recorded events. Don't feel badly for Fetterman or believe him, but he could have that implant post-stroke, which would have recorded that info today.
