I was lucky enough to start this 3 years before I retired, so I bought all the tools and set up shop then. When I retired last November, I was able to move right into it. Nice chatting with you. Thanks for the chuckles through the weeks. 😄

There's profit in the end. That little fan in the pic cost $40 and is worth about $350. There's wide swings in market values. It's why I sell in the summer. People want fans. Lol. What's your hobbies?

2 summers ago I started selling. Before that I had about 175. I had given away 5 to family. I'm down to 120 and can only display maybe 15. Next July I'll probably sell another 20. 🤞🏻The hobby pays for itself, but nobody's getting rich off it.

Maybe half on Marketplace. The rest are from online auctions. Not eBay but other online sites. Usually shipping is higher than the fan since a lot of them are cast iron and steel. My interest goes back to childhood and the big noisy eskimo window fan we had, which i still haven't found 🥲

This one i brought home yesterday. I usually leave the patina. Just cleaned and straightened and brightened up the Dayton badge a bit
