Ack. Nervous. Just sent my demo reels to a local casting agency asking for representation. Did not include a commercial demo reel, so I don’t have high hopes, but also …I know my acting is top notch, so I do have high hopes. I wonder if they’ll come back asking for a Mercian reel, or what.

There is a stage combat intensive workshop for 2 weeks this summer. And every summer. I’d like to go. It’s affordable for the amount of work you do, and includes housing. You can get certified in something like 8 disciplines, iirc.

All parts purchased and arrived for my booth, including my upgraded mic and other electronics. Exception: I had to order some PVC joints on Amazon, but they should arrive by Monday. Tomorrow, I cut and prep.

My 12yo worked his tuckus off so he could get straight A’s and go to the Straight A Tea. Well … the school canceled it without telling anyone, because they said it “caused too much stress on the kids.” Don’t I know it! So now I am taking him to the new cat cafe in San Jose instead.

I’m taking this commercial VO class, and even though I don’t want to do commercial work, I *really* want to get an agent, so I’m working really hard at this, but …. I think I’m good at the brainy part, the analysis, but I think I’m mediocre at best at the performance aspect of commercial work.

I leave Thursday night to go record my demo in L.A. Friday. I got some of the scripts, so I need to get started on my script analysis. I also still need to do some homework for my Commercial Styles class. Also need to listen to my previous work, and practice some accents. Ack! Too much, so nervous!
