being neurodivergent (or mentally ill) doesn't make you INHERENTLY problematic or evil or horrible or abusive etc. but people who are neurodivergent/mentally ill are also JUST AS CAPABLE as anybody else of being problematic and evil and horrible and abusive etc. we are not extra special in that way

This right here is a good example of the vibe of that episode, which is Dean protecting his 'sunshine' (remember how he literally calls Cas that lmao) as much as possible.

I can't find the GIF and I can't make GIFs (that's not my skill set), but the part where Cas is all smiley about TV in 8x07 and Dean's standing there, frowning with his arms crossed, fretting about how Cas got back from Purgatory, is actually perfect for this meme.
