Studying void magic is restricted for a reason, thankfully this is about the deepest extent I'll be taking it.

A bit of the void is present in all kanin, and that's difficult to live with. But it's also why hope and self-worth is forever important. Because it fills that void with something, and that void hates nothing more.

It's not a huge leap of logic, I suppose. One is a temporary transmutation derived from the curse's magic, and recreated through benign and "clean" means.
The other is, you know, a curse. But the fact that it's comparatively simple to emulate the body...
