Just a regular old

I was enjoying a beautiful day and then it became spectacular.
Caught these two bald eagles enjoying the day as well.
(The dead foliage is not their nest, just dead foliage).

This is Cool too!
Trying to get away from Trump crap, I watched a mindless movie last night. It was truly mindless, but the scenery was Great.
All outdoor scenes were shot on your favorite river, the Rogue, and my favorite, the Deschutes.
Watch it for the scenery only. Otherwise it’s Macho junk.

Hi Dahlia Lovers!
On Saturday, April 26th, 2025, the United States Postal Service has released a stunning Dahlia stamp series.
Swan Island Dahlias announced that nine of the dahlias showcased on this series were grown on their farm.

Hi Kat. I really enjoy your posts.
I love turtles, but really have very little knowledge about them. Here are a few that I think are River Cooters.
I took the photos of these two in Sebastian, FL. Near my home.

From our garden last year, our Plumeria, or Frangipani, plants all blossomed beautifully. This one had a spectacular array of colors, including white, pink, and yellow.
The ground cover is purple heart, with some mint in the mix.

I lived 10 miles from Swan Island Dahlias in Canby, OR. They are a wonderful company and have a festival every year, right next to acres and acres of the Dahlias.
No charge, free parking and fun! My favorite for sure.
Oregon in early September is gorgeous too!

Moonrise on a late foggy summer evening on the Atlantic Seaboard near St. Augustine Florida.
The boardwalk in the foreground brings you down to a beautiful sandy beach for a pleasant moonlit stroll.

Good morning. When I saw this California Quail photo contest winner from Cornell Lab. (eBird)
I thought of your post.
Your photo looks more natural, but both photos are great.

I know most bird lovers love Bald Eagles. I do too, but Osprey will out-fish them every day of the week.
Even Mondays..😎

HAPPY SUNDAY! According to eBird this is a Saffron Finch.
It’s the first and only one I’ve seen in my area of Central FL.
Possibly an escapee caged finch, since they are legal to own. Pretty cute I think.

Indian Blanket flower. This is a wild one.
Species are also easy to grow and available at garden centers.
The name is from the color patterns of the flowers that resemble designs found in native American Indian blankets. #nature #wildflowers #birds

Covered bridges always fascinated me and this
“shadow step” image is a classic example.
It seems that each bridge has its own historic and architectural story. Thank you for sharing.

We grew them in the Portland area. Just one plant that was in full sun all day.
I think it’s the same.🤔

I have never seen a Short-eared Owl personally. These in-flight shots are great. Thank you.

P.S. The back cover of Cornell’s Living Bird magazine (Winter 2025) has a frontal shot of one like yours. Probably taken with the Hubble Telescope. 🔭 😊

Hi Wendy.
I’m sending you another camouflage contestant. This beautiful Limpet thinks it’s a cypress tree knee.
Have a great day. 😊
