i wrote something angry again about being trans and the self-sacrificial desire to become something dangerous to defend our community from those that mean us harm. I hope it helps you to read it, like it helped to write it.

The ones that I revisit the most in my mind are the leeches from the book series Deltora Quest. Always loved Cherubaal from Eisenhorn. That's almost all I can recall that have lingered with me.
What's your favourite monster/creature from literature? I'm thinking Tuunbaq from Dan Simmon's The Terror, the triffids from Wyndham's Day of the Triffids, the demon from M.R. James' Casting The Runes, Grendel, Pennywise, etc.
