Of course there's Vampire Survivors, but I'm sure everyone's heard of it by now. Sort of turned into a phenomenon overnight. 😅

A game that I wholly overlooked until I was actually able to try it for free and I became completely hooked.

Also finished the game using the Lone Wolf trait.

For those unaware of what that is, you start the game with 2 main characters, and can normally have 1 side character for each. A main with Lone Wolf gets boosted HP and skill points, but can't have a companion. Overall it makes things a bit tougher.

#6 Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition (Xbox version)

I bought this back when I still had an XBone, before the Series X|S released, and I never played beyond the first chapter before this playthrough.

Not an awful game, but not without its problems. Guess I can start on the sequel now!

Of course there's in-game calibration in House of the Dead. How the heck did I miss that?? 😔

Anyhoo, I was right, the in-game calibration makes all the difference! House of the Dead works like a charm now!

Virtua Cop, on the other hand, works incredibly well! It also has its own calibration in the game's settings menu, which is probably what makes all the difference. I didn't see one in House of the Dead, but maybe I need to go back and look again.

The accuracy leaves something to be desired on House of the Dead. There's a system-level calibration tool, but even after calibrating the gun, shots still seem to go off to the left and slightly up of where I'm aiming.

It's quite a bit smaller, and MUCH lighter than the normal Sinden light gun.

My Sinden also has the built-in kickback motor, so that adds weight to it.

3½ years of waiting and look what finally showed up at my doorstep!

For a while there, I actually thought I would never see my Polymega light gun!

Clearly this particular Mario was dating one of the Delfino Islanders. I guess they all couldn't have Pauline.

Found this while clearing out some files from my phone! It's the ship I created a couple years back when I tried out Starfield.

The Fiddler Crab!

That game was ALL about ship building for me. I could get lost for hours just putting together new ship designs. 😅

I've mentioned before that Super Air Zonk: Rockabilly Paradise for the TurboGrafx 16 is the single most valuable game I own, and it's not even by a small margin.

Things have been a bit precarious lately, however, and I'm thinking of selling it. Anyone know a good platform to do so that isn't ebay?😟

My Dreamcast VM2 arrived today! While messing around with it, I discovered that the Windows management software has a streaming function!

You can effectively stream the VM2 screen to the app, then make the app a video source in OBS to include the VMU with game capture if you're a streamer!😄 Neat!!

Tubby the Tuba followed immediately by The Terminator.

Or that's how it was in my childhood.

I suppose that's what they're here for. I'm not too worried.

Hum...suppose this means I'm "boring." 😑

I enjoy a game with a good story, but games these days are all trying too hard to be the next big epic theatrical experience. Sometimes it's nice to just blow sh** up! 😁

Burnout Crash! was great for that! Sadly it's forever digitally locked to PS3 and XB360. It deserves a port to modern platforms!
November 25, 2025 at 7:12 PM
I'll admit, this is one I haven't played very much of. It was not one of my childhood games, but I did pick this up at some point along the way. 😅

My launch edition Wii is my current Gamecube. With that nice Gamecube hardware built in (no nifty handle though 😔).

I think one sadly overlooked game is P.N.03. Was a GC exclusive from Capcom, and sadly it's never been ported anywhere else. They could've at least put Vanessa Schneider in MvC.

Post the last four games you played.

I'd say ESPN Extreme Games (later renamed "1 Xtreme") on PS1.

Discovered it on the demo disc that came with my launch PS1, and I played the crap out of it! 😁

It was unexpected because I'm not into sports, never watched ESPN, but it plays very much like Road Rash on skates/bikes/skateboards/luges.

I never even knew the series made it to GBA. Apparently both Tricky and 3 were.

SSX 3 was one of my favorites on OG Xbox, but Tricky on Gamecube was my introduction to the series.

I've still never played SSX 1. Need to check it out someday.

Hot diggity, I got the Xbox 360 I won on auction today and got the backwards compatibility working on it! I can play my Xbox copy of Burnout 3 again! 😆

(I also own a PS2 copy, but the Xbox copy is the superior version).

This is my first time ever participating in this #randomgamesaturday thing but looks like I came up with Cratermaze for the TG-16.

This was actually a reskin of a Doraemon game for western audiences that were not as familiar with the iconic earless cat.

In all truthfulness, the Genesis/MegaDrive was 3rd place for me in the 16 bit era after the TurboGrafx and SNES, but I still loved many games for it all the same.

Hands-down my favorite game on the console was Gunstar Heroes! Treasure lived up to their name with this amazing run-n-gun!
