During my break, I read a book that was published in 2000 by Chris Tovani, I Read It, But I Don't Get It.
Main takeaway, reading is thinking.
She offered some practical tools on how to get students to engage with what they are reading. As a MS teacher, this is what I want to help students achieve.

It has a PG rating. Her personal "parental guidance" was to walk out. The rating worked.
The only thing I've ever made my kids stand up and walk out of was a Greg Laurie sermon. The conviction in my gut that day was strong too.

According to the CTC website, she obtained her admin credential in 2023. She may lack experience, but she has a valid credential.
