Bike ride to Lake Nokomis, where a beer was waiting

I'm in the middle of a nice ride, with a stop at Pryes Brewery. First time over the Lowry Ave bridge today. There are some nice extensions to the two bikeways open, or coming soon, up here

Had a really nice ride today from Minneapolis to Wayzata and back. Unseasonably warm 82 degrees (according to my car, anyway)

I was so proud to take part in today's Saint Paul MN protest. I was in the very bottom right corner of this photo.

They will not take this country from us, from me, from my kids. #resist Each of these should be twice the size of the previous one.

My Kona Sutra before and after, Stock 40mm Schwalbe tubed Marathons (back) vs new Rene Herse 48mm Oracle Ridge (front).

Yes I will also change the other tire 😄 #bikepacking

First time mounting a tubeless tire this afternoon. It was interesting - seems to hold air so far. I think I'm going to like this! #bikepacking

Starting to zero in on this year's bike trip, I started with this amazing route from bikepacking .com and customized/lengthened it. bikepacking.com/routes/strad... . I have some wider tires, with all the tubeless bits, on the way.

This closet is finally coming together.

I screwed up the size of the cases for this lower cabinet, costing me several days and a lot of hours. I had to cut the right section down by two inches, like some kind of Civil War surgeon.

Just the base and some misc. closet trim pieces left! #woodworking

Gluing up the last case for the bottom cabinet
December 22, 2024 at 9:17 PM
Last of the top section front face going on. I designed in a rail under the front shelves, for bending strength. (I'm not quite skillful enough to make a rabbet or dado on the back of those trim pieces work out.) #woodworking

I've only had a few hours a week to chip away at the closet shelving but the top is coming together. Used a bottom rail arrangement to make installation easier, and left the face frame to last. #woodworking
