Or Summit. And because of the medians on each there's never any room to pass so folks can get pretty upset during rush hour. I'll take Grand sometimes just because there's actually places to pass so I'm not stuck with an angry driver behind me while trying not to slip out. 🥶

Good job community! I watched the entire thing, filmed some, and had numbers/resources ready. If at any point I thought it was more than MPD I would have alerted folks and been out there. Anyway, trying to prevent any misinformation re: non local raid and give hope that we're prepared and ready.

Scenes like this make me think about how much time is wasted by EMTs, firefighters, ambulances etc. just in responding to stupid drivers.

Same issue here in Minneapolis. I still advocate for them as it seems to lower the barrier of entry for new folks but it definitely comes at a cost. Winter cycling super sucks now because of it - constantly having to take the entire lane really drags on you.

Try zwift racing. Seeing others pass you could spark a lil competitiveness to see if you can keep up / get ahead (keeps your attention well), and then that's motivation to do the workouts and get faster 😊 seeing results and breaking PRs can also be a motivating factor

If we had actual driver competency tests then a large portion of the older population who tend to be NIMBY wouldn't be allowed to drive and would have to advocate for public transit and density for self preservation.

True if dry. Otherwise 15F as there's no chance or rain, cold enough the road salt won't turn the road into a slush puddle, will typically be sunny, and not quite cold enough that it sucks being outside. 😎 Nothing worse than 35 degree rain or even 25 and the roads are soaking wet!

I agree! I rode miles and miles through NYC in Brooklyn & Manhatten. While obviously busier, driver behavior was so much more predictable, people were attentive and generally followed rules. Dealing with Mpls drivers is outrageous. Impatient, cruel and inattentive idiots driving way too fast.
