Fall 2025 @siu.edu enrollment numbers are out. Down by 5 students. The DE is seeking more granular info (online vs. on campus; what's up with international students; what's up with that huge increase in online grad attendance), but here's what we know so far: dailyegyptian.com/121777/news/... #siu

Last week, at trivia: The 'sackbut' was the Renaissance version of what modern brass instrument? I sigh heavily into the mic. Everyone starts chanting SACKBUT SACKBUT SACKBUT. I barely choke the question out as tears of laughter roll down my face. 10/10 spiritual experience. (PS it's trombone.)
