That 1 sided nostalgia is LITERALLY what this piece im working on is about. Taking the paraphenalia of retro postcards and marketing but replacing the shit like flamingos and sunbathers with Black laborers, klan terrorism & 200 yrs of resistance. What are we making great "again"?

Not freaking out about time contraints just yet... BUT...
time to start writing deadlines and plans on giant whiteboard that i have to look at every day. Anyway, tomorrow i get to see how these test tiedyes came out. If its good, screenprinting on them is next

In doing 2 paintings at once so i don't get impatient with 1. I work on 1 part, let that dry while i work w the other. This is a home that was blown up on Christmas night in 1951 cuz the teacher who lived there was registering Blacks to vote and being activists since the 30s
