I don't think that's just US sports, it's wider. What Twitter has is pop culture remains there. The vast majority of comedians, actors, musicians, athletes etc. are still there and to be honest for people who interact with that segment of Twitter the experience remains largely unchanged from before

I'm okay. I'd say mine was a distinctly average year but my sister's about to have a kid so that'll change the entire family dynamic around a bit!

You all ready for the festive season?

I was a teenager when it came out and ended up having to watch this as third wheel to a friend's date. I think she invited herself along and he changed what film we were watching to appease her. It was too late when I realised what he'd done.

Whenever I buy something on ebay and it arrives like this I worry I'll somehow damage it trying to get it out

Sam! It's been ages. Hope you're thriving

That's a horrible experience. Do you have a fan? Might help the air circulate, as odd as it is to use a fan in December

Foreign policy is much more firmly in the hands of the president. There's foreign policy stuff they can stop him doing but not much they can make him do.

In terms of Ukraine all the US would have to do is stop intelligence sharing to hamstring them considerably.

They're just my standout example of a nepo baby band that wasn't any good but had a few substantial hits. As I said, compared to the world of film there's not many examples - I think you can pull it off if you're in an act that is all image no musical substance.

But rock music is harder to pull that off in, I think

Probably depends a bit on what you do in music. I felt LMFAO were terrible, but their two hits made them a decent load of money (they're related to Gordy Berry). I'm not sure you could call them technically accomplished musicians but it didn't stop them having the hits they did have!

She endorsed him. Which kinda makes sense to me loosely - she's always been a bit of a green activist

I remember it

Probably also the power of the ensemble? Scott Eastwood can sneak into a franchise like Fast & Furious and no one will really notice he's there at all, but he'll still get that "10th down the list on the cast" paycheck and as you say it's hard to measure what he's added to the bottom line

Among Iron Maiden fans it's become a running gag that 3 Maiden nepo kids have tried to have music careers and all 3 went absolutely nowhere. The latest one, The Raven Age, have had about 10 years of support slots for Maiden and still have essentially no fans whatsoever.

Something I find interesting about the nepo baby thing that I haven't seen discussed much is how the level of success it affords you seems to vary between mediums. In Hollywood it seems to go a long way but I have seen *so* many nepo baby rock bands given countless opportunities and get nowhere.
