Wife, Mom and grandmother, retired substance misuse counsellor. Made it to 60, in long term recovery and have dementia. Zero stars for the dementia!
I found the urge to numb my feelings significantly decreased when I stopped giving a crap. I don’t explain myself anymore. I’m 60, in long term recovery, and there isn’t enough time left for me to tolerate other people bullshit!

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk

You will need to renegotiate if you plan on financially mismanaging things or wish to begin sexually assaulting people. Have your Mom give us a ring.

Medical care is the single biggest stress in many people lives. I was so naive when we left the UK to live in the US - didn’t fully understand what leaving universal health care would mean. The stress, bankruptcy, preexisting conditions…..ack!!

Nah- they’ll keep going and bill you the extra. And you won’t know until too late. Of course there will be the overtime overcharge and the long surgery admin fee. All the extra stress is free - just pay your copay up front.

But as a non functioning alcoholic I wasn’t allowed to drive or be responsible for my children. Then I had to find and get treatment at my own cost.

If only I had been a white man who douchebagged his way to the top.
