55th book of 2025: The Last Days of the Romanovs by Helen Rappaport. This is book 1 of a trilogy. I may have read some of this series before, but now I'm doing the audiobook for all 3. A well researched book & a detailed yey disturbing account of the night the family was murdered.

54th book of 2025: The Romanov Empress by C.W. Gortner. I'm always thrilled to stumble upon a new historical fiction author. I was sad to learn he died suddenly just a few months ago. I enjoyed his writing, and this audiobook had a great narrator. I am now down a Romanov rabbit hole.

53rd book of 2025: I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai. The narrator's voice is so close to Malala's voice! I loved the vivid descriptions of the beauty of her home valley. I hope one day she can return in peace. I appreciated hearing her story in her words, and I'm excited to read her new memoir.

52nd book of 2025: A Queen's Match by Katharine McGee. A pretty tidy conclusion to this duology. I'm now on a Russian royalty kick thanks to this series.

51st book of 2025: A Queen's Game by Katharine McGee. I read this to prep for the release of its sequel. A fun, speedy read which has kicked off a royal reading streak.

50th book of 2025: The Seven Husbands of Eleanor Hugo. Another plane ride read. Big thanks to my boss for recommending this one. A fun travel through time and the evolution of old Hollywood.

49th book of 2025: The Keeper of Magical Things by Julie Leong. I picked this up in the Dallas airport after running out of books to read on my vacation. This was a fun, unexpected read and probably not one I would have picked at the bookstore. A great plane read with really beautiful cover art.

48th book of 2025: While You Were Out by Meg Kissinger. A friend recommended this book last year after Seamus died. I had to put it down a few times to get through it, but I really appreciated Meg's honesty. Gosh, I wish we Irish Americans weren't so stubborn & reluctant to discuss our feelings.

47th book of 2025: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. I've not read much on the French Resistance during WWII, so this was an interesting read. Once again, there are a few too many twists. That must be the author's calling card. I'm not sure I'll read more of her books for this reason.

Our dentist advised my husband to use mouth tape at night to help with his teeth grinding. He wears it most nights along with a mouth guard. The brand he buys is called hostage tape and it was a little sus the first time it arrived in the mail.
