Ah sorry, didn't mean rye was the only thing I drink, just that it's a fave. I'd say in order of preference, I favor rye, bourbon, scotch for special occasions, and in the summertime, gin.

If I had to compare it to something else, I’d say it most resembles a bourbon.

From one perspective I guess yes; but it doesn’t taste like a scotch, at least not like those I prefer. There are no grassy or peat undertones at all (on my palate anyway), but it’s a tiny bit fruity with a richer finish than a good scotch. I guess that’s why it intrigued me!
