I think the city only bought the arena a few years ago for $1 - if you were feeling conspiratorial you might say that was to increase the leverage for them to contribute to a renovation.

I’d be ok with this going to a vote like the increase in taxes to pay for road infrastructure. If people want to pay for it then that’s ok, but the politics of losing the blazers in an election year is too messy.

The public debt would be paid by diverting income taxes on the players and some management, not from stadium revenue. Stadium leave agreements generally provide all control to the main team in return for them staying.

This assumes all the money spent at the stadium that goes to pay the players vanishes if the team does. That money will instead be spent on other entertainment (some likely still in the stadium) and so be paid as taxes.

It’s public in name only. The lease agreement provides control over use to the team. No revenue from games, concerts, concessions goes to the public.

I have found Apple fitness plus to be a good way to try lots of things (often with minimal equipment) and with different trainers to help me learn what I like - you could then use that to find an IRL trainer if you needed more feedback (a mirror so you can compare to the instructor is useful).

Why a moderate? GOP voters are not switching to a moderate dem, they are staying home. The goal is turnout. You need a progressive dem to excite those voters who don’t usually see the full dem platform proudly proclaimed from the campaign trail.

‘68 version is so cool.

The space side is cool too, there is a lunar capsule that brings home the (in hindsight) low tech equipment that took the first astronauts into space.

Thanks for making local content. Perhaps you could do an episode on downtown development and the apartments/cottage clusters choice.

I chose a broker based on reading articles he had written about car buying on Jalopnik. A friend used him on a new car and saved more than the fee and avoided any dealership hassle. When I used them for a used car I left with the keys after a few minutes. automatchconsulting.com

I have used automatchconsulting.com - you pay a fee to them so the relationship is very clear. Can also help choose as they have lots of knowledge of what’s available / pricing / reliability etc.
