The band had a massive fight in Other Record Shop in the afternoon (we were there getting autographs). McKay & Morris bailed out. Cure opened gig then Sioux & Severin came on stage to announce gig was cancelled. Cure played again then Sioux & Severin joined them for a rendition of Lords Prayer.

What a great album that is. My brother had it when we were young but his copy seems to have disappeared in the ether. Went and bought myself a copy recently. What a band they were. Wish I’d been old enough to see them play live.

Two completely contrasting gigs at the weekend. Friday at the Armadillo was ABC with the Lexicon Orchestra and Saturday was Hue & Cry at the Lemon Tree. Both fantastic gigs for different reasons. The orchestra backing for ABC was outstanding and the intimacy of Hue & Cry was brilliant.
