I’ve spent 10 years in public education to (among other things) get my loans forgiven, and barely got in under the wire before Trump drowned that in the bathtub too. Public edu is filled with some of the nicest, most passionate people I’ve ever met, and most of them are going insane. It’s BAD.

The OP alludes to this in their final post, but I think the general disillusionment with education is due to a feeling that there’s little societal motivation to even try. At least millennials grew up with the lie that getting any college degree was a fast pass to the good life.

I don’t think Zohran buys it for a fucking microsecond, but understands that optically it’s beyond beneficial to have the big, bad, scary fascist being beyond obsequious to him. People already hate Trump, now you have to dispel the bullshit air of invulnerability.
