What I like most about turkeys is that it's like having little dinosaurs running around the yard.

Thanks for this post! 🙏 I finally looked up how turkeys can roost and sleep on branches without falling off as i would expect 😆

It’s surprising to me that their toes lock around branches, like for a songbird, I think of them as more terrestrial 🤷‍♀️

And Waffles is ofc an awesome name ❤️

Dinosaurs get all the attention (and yeah, they are cool) but it’s worth remembering that the story of prehistoric life is much richer and more complex.
