Ever since, for the past 40+ years, somebody takes a turn yelling at kids to stop that laughing.

This reminds me of the remarkable holiday dinner when we introduced our younger cousins to the hilarity of fingers topped with black olives. It was so funny, our sides ached, but this was when our grandmother snapped.
She launched from her seat, "You kids in there! Stop that laughing!"

I've fallen down a thermal printing rabbit hole these days, and the big bruisers are getting it done. Typestar 3, Brother EP-22 (the EP-44 is on its way), ZINK printers, little receipt-style printers—I'm all in.

Why should you skip it beyond all of that? I got a beige model and the plastics are super brittle. Taking it apart is challenging without doing significant damage. Also, it's really not an improvement over earlier models.
