I am not a lawyer but @keithellison.bsky.social is it customary for the subject of an investigation to have his coworkers remove items from his house during an active investigation?

Does he sound credible? I’ve been hearing rumors all over social media. The moral of this story is, don’t go around executing innocent people if you don’t want your dirty laundry aired.

If the state allowed these people to register to vote, they shouldn’t be prosecuted.

I visited Whittier, Alaska, over the summer and spent months investigating the state's voter fraud prosecutions. It's one of the most interesting, distressing stories I've reported. I hope people pay attention to these cases, explored in depth in my new piece for @boltsmag.org:

Alaska is now prosecuting 11 American Samoans from Whittier in total. All are relatives, all insist they never meant to break the law. All face years of prison time, in cases currently pending. One of them, the family matriarch (pictured here), has stage 4 cancer.
