It used to be split audio until the Russian leak issue a few years ago. Now they only have SG1 during launches / dockings / etc.

My archive is at issaudio.42web.io/iss/

I don’t see audio listed for channel 9 on your site. Am I looking in the wrong area?
November 28, 2025 at 5:37 AM
The ISS Livestream. It carries audio but only from one channel. I was just curious if you knew offhand whether it is SG2 or 3. I can compare from my archives later.

I’m referring to the live feed that I archive. Audio is only in English so can’t be 1 and when they go to 4 we don’t hear. So is that 2? I guess I don’t know difference between 2 and 3.

I mean the YouTube channel.

Great stuff! What SG-channel(s) are on the public feed?

Remember the NWS snow page is not fully functional. It uses NBM through WPC, and the NBM is not a good snow total platform as it overdoes WAA events like this.

Local WFOs cannot edit that page.

Sandy's waves on Lake Michigan were around 20-25ft. It's pretty hard to get much higher than that.

The 39ft was a typo in the marine forecast. It was never realistically expected (nor physically possible.)

WSSI is broken this year. It wasn’t good in the past, but now WPC really messed it up.

And AI is able to detect scams and intercept them before they cause harm.

That makes me happy.
November 27, 2025 at 12:41 PM
Oh goodness no, this is FAR greater a revolution than the move from pencils to pens.
November 27, 2025 at 1:57 AM
No, AI weather forecasting actually saves lives. No forecast ever caused someone to commit suicide.

Are you okay? PLEASE call 899 if you are thinking of harming yourself.
November 27, 2025 at 1:23 AM
They were not forecast a week in advance either.

AI is helpful to forecasting. Lives are saved because of it. If you would rather more people die, that's on you.

Have a great Thanksgiving! I hope all your friends and family enjoy the conversations you bring...

Nobody has the ability to predict the weather two weeks from today. We can give overall ranges, but absolutely not a forecast that says what the temp or clouds or rain will be 14 days from today.

Not even in Oklahoma.

What we do is called an outlook - see https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov
November 27, 2025 at 12:48 AM
I read what you shared. You also said the flood was forecast 2 weeks out, which is a lie, and you clearly don't know the "wisest of the wise" on AI.

Stop lying. Ask questions.
November 27, 2025 at 12:44 AM
No weather forecaster can give a 2-week prediction. A day before the flood there were signs one would come but no exact location or amount. Warnings were issued a few hours in advance. AI is helping us do better.
November 27, 2025 at 12:32 AM
Forecasts have always been getting better - AI is making them even better.

Whoever told you the Texas flood was forecast TWO WEEKS in advance was lying. It wasn't even known to be a threat two days in advance.

Hmm - I think I addressed this already. The post clearly says that AI has no benefit.

It doesn't mention LLM in any form.
November 26, 2025 at 2:02 PM
Just block that account - that looks like a Twittertroller made it over :)
November 26, 2025 at 2:01 PM
Again - if you don't understand LLMs, maybe you shouldn't be chiming in.

The LLM isn't the issue. Improper use can be an issue. That's not AI's fault or a reason to scrap AI.
November 26, 2025 at 1:53 PM
It may not be helped when the original post conflated :)
November 26, 2025 at 1:52 PM
LLMs help me quite a bit in my role protecting the public.

It's okay to not comment in areas you have no insight :)
November 26, 2025 at 1:50 PM
If that’s what you are using with AI then sure, it’s a waste.

I was referring to the original post’s claim.
November 26, 2025 at 1:43 PM
The ironic part is that just a few posts down is new research showing AI is proving to be very beneficial for land use planning in reducing the speed of wildfire spread.
