A series of fun, interactive, novel-length gamebooks with a satirical twist.
But, but, but... the Babelfish proves the non-existence of god! 🤔

When I'm not writing, I'm acting. Occasionally, I get recognised and, when it happens, I LOVE to hear the nice things they say. However, I have absolutely no idea what to do with them when I receive them! Hahaha

You're too kind. Hopefully those that bought it will like it when it arrives...

We actually uploaded the final files today, realised that we'd not amended the QR codes for things like Goodreads, and I'm currently processing all that stuff now...

But yes, other than this, we're ready to rock and roll!

I used to get this religiously. It was a Liverpool publication, if memory serves. Preferred it to WD, for sure.

I absolutely adored Traveller! The 15mm figs seemed a better scale too.

Easiest block of the day!

That's very kind of you!
Yes, we're excited too. We're both published (me mostly kids books & Tom writes smut), I'm also a TV/Feature screenwriter), & we also have a nice low-content side hustle with notebooks, journals, puzzle-books, & author, RPG & filmmaker ranges, but this is our first gamebook!

Many self pub'd authors that I know, swear by KU, saying that they receive the bulk of their revenue via KU, although dislike that KDP locks you into it (you can't have your ebook elsewhere).
Our gamebooks are not eligible for KU, & my personal pubs sell very few that way—a few 100 pages a month.

the main pub houses, not indie authors (another reason to support us...). Then we must consider things like book size...There are so many factors.
My personal pubs are 12-15 & 4-5 for ebooks.
This new range will be 19.99 (its 250 pages, 8x10), 5.79 for the ebook, & we still make pennies. :(((

I get the concept, I really do, but when you learn that most self-pub'd authors receive only around 2-4 USD per sold physical copy, & that an average release will sell +/- 200 books in its lifetime, there is next-to-no incentive offer such bundles.
Mostly, these inflated eBook prices come from

This is a more realistic approach. A LOT of work goes into creating a digital copy, and that has to be paid for somehow. That said, when I see eBooks coming in at 12-20 dollars, I shudder. From our POV, there's no justification for a digital copy being the same $ as a physical one.

We certainly have elements of that, for sure. We're looking to bring that simpler, nostalgic feel from those halcyon days of CYOA and FF gamebooks. Whether we achieve it or not...

Thanks!
Yes, the book will be available on Kindle and also as an 8x10 paperback. Currently only the eBook is available for pre-order, but both are out mid-January.
We're working on the paperback and trying to make it feel like the old-style 80s D&D modules - ignore any typos ;)

Thank you!
We loved this retro look too, although we've made a few adjustments since this render, as well as changed the book size (that upset at least one person in the office - lol).

We're still on course for a January launch, though.
