And while I miss my people in the UK, I have truly never been happier than I am and have been for the last six months.

I've been to hell and made it back again, but I finally like the person I'm becoming.

Call it my second coming. My resurrection, if you will.

Yet still, when I go out in my wheelchair vs going out with my prosthetic, I am treated like two completely different people.

When I roll down the street in my chair, I am pitied and often feared.

But when I strut down the street with my prosthetic, I am admired and often approached by strangers
