mystery/deduction games are the most satisfying actually, very much enjoyed the golden idol games these past few days and craving more

the feeling of nervousness you get when someone else starts reading/watching/playing something you love but know objectively is flawed

you don't see it too often, but "what happens when this character becomes a god" is a top tier fanfic trope

the problem with outer wilds is that it assumes i have some degree of mechanical skill at games when i do not

played return of the obra dinn and im obsessed - the visuals give the perfect atmosphere, the music somehow manages not to be too dissonant despite being relatively lighthearted (love the bells in soldiers at sea btw), and you get surprisingly invested in the characters for how little you see them
