nevermind there are active efforts to misdirect the conversation online. Last thing any of the astroturfing groups Heritage licenses out wants is discussing replacement of coal electric. So Carbon footprints, stirring debate, and other shenanigans are pushed instead.

You must not be strongly engaged in climate change discussions

Nothing Beat OOT, perfect dark, or banjo Kazooie. But that's only 4 games. PS1 library was ridiculous. So many classics.

My statement is, is it easier to close all the 208 coal plants in the US or to convince everyone in the world to stop eating meat?
December 2, 2025 at 12:46 AM
Then say beef, don't generalize as "Meat" there are other meats outside beef and those have vastly lower carbon footprints. I'm encouraging people to eat less or cut out beef. You don't need to go full vegan though. That's the disconnect I see.

Especially when the claim veganism is the best way to reduce carbon footprint is shaky at best and misleading at worst.

Clearly not all. But also food is an intensely personal thing and there is no more significant way to divide people on how to handle climate change than to tell them they have to eat differently to an extreme past what they are comfortable with.

Can the american people request the actual MRI so doctors around the country can verify that? Instead of a slap dash memo saying everything was good?

Question for all time

What I'd say is Beef and dairy is not the only non vegan options out there. There is not a big difference between someone who cuts out beef and reduces meat intake to someone who completely eliminates it. You can make a difference with small changes too, it doesn't have to be all or nothing.

I love the idea of those two working together on a project.

Careful to not be the type who dismisses this without reviewing the data in the article. It also goes over where this myth started. Which was a study in 2015 that included south american deforestation in the data and accidentally massively inflated the numbers.

All of Agriculture is only 11% of total emissions. That is meat and veggies combined. Start there but there's a lot more to consider. Don't be wooed by over simplification.
How much does animal agriculture and eating meat contribute to global warming?

Feels like Boomers are way more likely to point their finger at a vague culture boogie man, rather than the choices of the individual or being aware of the online traps that pull men into isolation and exploits them with it.

When wanting labor pay as suppressed as possible faces the reality of wanting to sell products to underpaid labor.

I've run into angry vegans online. One interesting thing I noticed is they get very offended when I point out the impact of going vegan on carbon footprint is minimal. Might have been an astroturfer though. Though some vegans are militant and weird. Just if they actual people or larpers. Who can say
