from anyone who does not have those credentials. It's why we need public schools w/strong programs & credentialed professionals. It's why we need more resources, not tenuous & questionable science.

I can't tell you how many people asked me why I didn't homeschool our son. I got so tired of reminding them that I'm not trained to do that. I'm not a professional. I am a parent & I need to access people who are knowledgeable, who had the education & understand how to use it. I don't take advice

All of that. We had a pediatrician who referred us to EI, a school system w/ an inclusion PreK program, & for the most part, teachers who did their best for our son. Even w/all of this, it's been a struggle. We still have lots of unknowns. None of what happened yesterday is helpful for any of us.
