All the sizing references were taken from this guide here. I really hope I didn't commit a mistake somewhere, I checked the infos before each post!

This guide here is enough for most ppl, but as a visual learner, I NEED to see the posts sizing in action and how the ratios behave 🥹

The 4 pic posts is the one more ppl use to make the "open for a surprise" thing

This one, I have all the 4 in the same sizing. And each pic is divided in three parts of same size

The full pic sizing is, as it says, the WHOLE pic. And as it was bigger than 2000 it got resized

This is the basic setup of the 4 picture posts

As the original size is smaller then 2000, the pic wasn't resized. The resize stuff is for each pic separatedly

Another example of the "open for a surprise", but not on the 1:1 picture!

The 2:1 that I extended for it, ended up being a square too, but it's not a rule

In the 3 pic posts, you can also play with the "open for a surprise"

Here I only have it in the squre 1:1 pic, I'm using the same one of the post of 2 pic, with half squares on top and bottom

You can use other sizing for the hidden ones, just makes sure the squre is centered

The 3 pic post also had the simple square as the first pic

The other two are horizontal 2:1 but, differently as the one in the single pic post, those here HAVE to be 2:1, because it will crop no matter what

The single pic post is a LOT more flexible with ratios than the other formats

You don't have to use the top and bottom pictures in the same size as the one that will be displayed

Here my middle pic is still the same square. But the top and bottom are half squares

Top and bottom pics wil be the same size because the one that you want to show HAVE to be centered

Still with the 2 pictures format, you can play with the "open for a surprise" model

Both pictures are a stack of three pictures 1:1, or squares. This is kinda big, so the height will be resized to 2000, and I don't know how good the pic reesolution would be in the end

The two pic posts show the picture as a square. To show your full picture, then you must use square, or the 1:1 ratio

Any sizing works, as long it is a square. Just remember it will, most likely, be resized to 2000

Another example, this time in horizontal and changing to 2:1

As seen, in the single images, the proportion don't have to be exactly 1:2 or 2:1, I guess is more of a safety measure? Is just a guess I'm no expert

And as seen, the largar size is resized to
2000

By default, single images are uncropped. If is too tall (exceeds 1:2) it will be cropped. If the pic is too tall, it will be resized (by what I saw, biggest it goes is 2000)
