It’s that time of year again. Don’t get me wrong. I enjoy sports, but I keep them in perspective.
At the end of the day, football is just a game in which players attempt to advance an inanimate object beyond an arbitrary line of demarcation.

I don’t like people burning the U.S. flag, but it is a form of expression which is protected by the Constitution.

I just learned that #JimLovell of #Apollo13 fame has passed away. I was fortunate enough to meet him when he visited my installation during a USO Tour.

This is our new rescue. She had a huge gash on the back of her neck (likely from a wire) and horribly infected wounds on her ears (the vet thinks from flies) when my wife found her. But despite it all, she’s the sweetest girl ever, and she’s healing well.

Here's a video of Tauri (stray) in which she gives us a brief glimpse of her birth-marked tongue. I've been trying to tire her out with fetch, but nothing seems to work. She’s a ball of energy.

If any of you are looking for an absolute sweetheart, this is Tauri (named after the Taurus constellation since she romps like a bull). She’s injured but currently being given care, and the vet estimates that she’s eight months old. She’s very sweet.
