I absolutely nailed a really complex and challenging baking project today! Walnut and apricot torte, from Baking at the 20th Century Café by Michelle Polzine. It has a shortbread base, 2 layers of brown butter walnut sponge with apricot jam, and a dark chocolate glaze. (My version is on the right.)
