A ver, eso hay que matizarlo. Las bibliotecas aceptan donaciones continuamente, sólo que no aceptan cualquier cosa y de cualquier manera, y la mayoría de la gente lleva los libros viejos que no quiere, y si no los quieren ellos, probablemente tampoco los quieran los usuarios de las bibliotecas ⬇️

Si cada dos por tres ruego por que una vez termine Star Trek Strange New Worlds en dos temporadas más, se haga un reboot de la serie original, el 3x06 es casi ese sueño hecho realidad. Una vez visto el nuevo tráiler de Predator Badlands no puedo estar más in. Creo que es la película que más espero en los dos próximos meses (junto a Los domingos). Aunque, creo que nos han enseñado toda la miga. Por si preferís no verlo.

A mi tanto en Madrid como en Valencia me han dicho que no. Como mucho algún tomo suelto y, exacto, solicitando permiso. En Twitter ya publicó un hilo explicándolo un bibliotecario (de no sé dónde, la verdad) ante el enfado de gente que pretendía donar las bibliotecas de familiares fallecidos.

Las bibliotecas no aceptan donaciones. Menos en grandes cantidades. Es un tema de espacio, organización, personal y presupuesto. Yo he donado algún tomo y primero hay que "pedir permiso" a quien procede para ello y esperar a que te lo acepten.
