And I would still say apathetic, maybe both. I try not to talk politics too much with my American Coworkers, but when major news events come up, it's stunning how many have no clue. Like haven't even begun to hear about what their country has been bombing, or anything else that's been going on.

Fair, but in the States don't you also vote for your congressmen, the primaries for your congressmen, your Judges, and even your sheriffs?
