That’s good to hear! And keep an eye out for changes in asylum rules. There an organization that’s trying to get carve outs for marginalized groups to claim asylum even if they’re in a “safe” 3rd country. I know it’s happening with the Dutch gov but hopefully it catches on with other countries.

It’s a potentially years long process. I just met with a refugee lawyer last week. There are like 4 different hearings including appeal if you need it.

I think it’s a legal move since America is still technically considered a “safe” country. There are international laws that come into play.
