There's been an invasion of particularly ravenous moths in the local area recently, so if you plan to stay at the pub past sunset try to wear man made fibres, unless you don't mind having to streak your way back home.

Please remember that the “stepping stones” in the pub garden are actually graves belonging to one of the pub's previous owners and their family, who were brutally murdered as they slept with a jar of pickled eggs, so try and treat them with respect.

Since it's starting to get so cold we thought we'd get a cosy fire going in the pub’s fireplace. Unfortunately, we didn't realise there was a dead badger wedged in the chimney…hopefully the smell of singed badger hair will dissipate soon…
