#eltchat was never adequately replaced, and I think we've become more isolated. So forgive me for wandering onto BlueSky and feeling 2012 nostalgia. If you were there, you'll know what I mean, and if you missed it, trust me, we can build something better.

As it fell out of fashion and Facebook and Instagram took over, I think our community suffered. Neither platform was suitable for interactive sharing and support on the level we had before, LinkedIn has been a bit better but still isn't as good, and I miss what we had.

No spam, no ads, no smut, and so far, no N@zis. Hopefully this will continue and who knows, maybe we can build an ELT community over there, like we used to have on Twitter.
