I miss my daughter quite a bit. We've spent about 15 Christmases together, and it's not the same now. I'm doing my best to make the most of it, as I have no other choice.

It's a bit ridiculous, but some of my fondest Christmas memories are gathering firewood with my father for our fireplace, which burned brightly on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
