To correct Nick Sortor’s statement:
The night he was arrested he’d been following & harassing women,filmed one inside her apt bldg lobby. He grabbed a burning flag & was pushed into a bioswale by a person w/an umbrella & a woman.
He was not the only one arrested. Two protesters were as well.

Last night folks did really well—lots of furries & inflatable costumes—a dance party!
The ring wing instigator “Tommy Boi” at least didn’t throw any punches(he did sat/sun, was arrested sun night) & seemed bored, reduced to heckling & was largely ignored

Sorry-there *is* a super new , low income bldg near ICE.
Gray’s Landing is the apt bldg seen in the background of the protests.
It’s low income,lots of seniors & disabled.

REACH runs it & has invested in air filters & is proactive trying to support tenants.

KATU is going to do a 24 hour live stream at the ICE facility beginning at midnight tonight. Interesting given that katu is Sinclair owned.

He was a regular here in Portland, with Proud Boys & other right wing groups, starting street brawls with antifascists.

Be careful! An 84 year woman was knocked to the ground & concussed by DHS here in Portland /ICE facility. Her husband was also shoved around but not seriously injured.

They’re both Vietnam vets. They & other families were attending a peaceful family friendly rally & DHS charged at them.

My puny (but grateful!) 401K was mainly in low risk bonds, not stock.

Whatever I lost was easily gained within a year or two. Zero impact on my day to day life because I’m a risk avoidant frugal mfer thx to anti-consumption & scarcity mindset.

(I’ve got plenty of beans/rice too!)
