Once again, this is a service time and minimum salary issue. Absolutely nothing to do with a salary cap.

A salary cap has literally no bearing on the league minimum. That's a CBA negotiated thing. Therefore, this comparison is incorrect. And silly.

This paragraph is nonsensical because by definition, literally half the players in the league are either average or below average. Therefore, no team is going to be filled entirely with above average players.

For starters, ratings are declining for both the NBA and NHL, so that first sentence is wrong. Secondly, without MLB opening it's book, there's no way to know how much of the league's revenue the player's are getting, so your assertion is wrong there.

Joe Posnanski just wrote about this last week, and this is what I thought the key argument comes down: How long of a run as the clear best in the sport qualifies someone for the Hall? My hunch is this kind of run plus a CY (along with two runner-ups) probably gets him in

I went through a DC comics phase in the mid-'90s when they were in the process of rebranding all the older heroes to make them cool again and the rebranded Aquaman was an absolute boss. I was more of a Green Lantern guy, but I still thought the harpoon hand was cool
