Canny little display of Joblings Glass including some uranium glass items. I need to go back with my UV torch to see which ones glow. A nice example of a glass press too. Part 3 of my Uranium Glass will focus on glass makers south of the Tyne, having covered George Davidson in Part 1 #uraniumglass

Mrs Uranium Hunter, Burt and I have had a fab day at the Hancock Museum today. In a joint session, we learnt all about the wonderful work museums and associations do in collecting and cataloguing minerals and gems.

I really enjoyed this book. Depsite the cover it was a little light on Nuclear war but it was fun for a quick potted history of the Cold War in Britain. Was a The Works cheapy special.

What did you do post-Christmas? Checked out some heavy-duty rockhounding tools of course. That uranium won't come out of the ground by itself.

I had such a surprise when exploring the Breamish Valley between Low and High Bleakhope. Not on any of my maps, I came across this spectacular double waterfall. And something else amazing too.
