Yeahhh it was part of the new Festival of Gaming announcement. In kindest interpretation, I think they're trying to spread out evening programming to give people official, safer spaces to spend time at night vs misc parties. Last year they tried GDC nights. hopefully they go back to both at once

It's the shorthand for the theory that this season was so bad because Leigh Janaik (accomplished horror director and writer) divorced one of the Duffers and she had been ghostwriting/heavily contributing to much of the earlier seasons.

Between the genAI and divorcegate, all the pieces are falling into place haha
