After the graves are blessed, the food is consumed right in the cemetery as a picnic and offerings are usually left. In a sense, it can represent the sharing of a meal with our deceased loved ones. Cemeteries were not a place to be avoided.

These cemeteries were as much for the living as they were for the dead, acting as a meeting place and a bridge between the living and the beloved dead.
Food is brought to the graves and a blessing is performed by a priest.

On the morning of the Apple Feast of the Saviour day, Sirin flies into the apple orchard & cries sadly. In the afternoon, the Alkonost flies to this place, beginning to rejoice & laugh. Alkonost brushes dew from her wings, granting healing powers to all fruits on the tree she is sitting on.

I tried these on in the 90s when they first came out but I decided to buy gridlocks instead because they had flat bottoms and were more practical… BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!
