Think I've been too nice to my basil plants. When sowing them I did as my book instructed, and even had a friend swear at them in Serbian in case that was more effective. Yet they remain feeble, as seen in the photo, unlike the magnificent specimen illustrated in my book (third pic) 🤔 #folklore
