I think the issue is that i find the sorta masculinity the average girl audience might find attractive to be actively repulsive. I don’t like men, no offense to my oomfs who are men it’s not personal 😭

I don’t think this would hold if I can make the boy a girl in the same way I do for most gundam protagonists

This is gross but a different kind of gross I was thinking of while watching it, I just sorta assumed that their entire like circulatory system was full of the cotton candy stuff. I also like how its resemblance to stuffing symbolizes how they’re being played with like plushies.

This probably also speaks to contemporary sci-fi’s lack of real political imagination. You can get some cool speculative political forms in New Wave authors like Delaney and Le Guin but I feel like that’s sorta died off now. Or maybe I’m just not plugged in enough idk.
