Having a relaxing afternoon with Sybill. Finally started a #BattenbergBlanket with my @hauteknityarn.bsky.social Goth Tea Party Yarn of the Month January and February 2024 colors. #crochetblanket
Tuxedo colored cat stretched out on her right side with her head leaning back against my light grey sweatpant left thigh. In front of her on the grey couch is the January yarn, a variegated light grey, pink, and white fingering weight yarn cake still attached to a light green-handled ergonomic Boye metal crochet hook with a finished two-inch square. The February fingering weight yarn cake is variegated dark/grape purples connected to two squares in the blanket project on top of my upper left thigh. The started blanket has five two-inch squares alternating between the two yarn colors. The top row, from left to right, has a February square (with a birthday goose lever back stitch marker) and a January square (with a pink locking stitch marker). The row below, from left to right, has a January square, February square (with a purple locking stitch marker), and a January square.
